Presentation of the novel “Mylimi kaulai” by Kotryna Zylė

At the event, the writer Kotryna Zylė, together with the artist Bernardas Burba, will talk about the birth of their book “Mylimi kaulai”.
The novel is the life story of a woman who keeps the bones of three men in a section of her house.
The atmospheric, magical reality of the work intertwines the everyday life of the sleeping quarters and rural folklore.
Life is welcomed and escorted away in the apartment building’s bathhouse, shepherds travel to the pastures by trolleybus, animals are kept in apartments, bread is baked in the stairwell, by the mailboxes; rituals are performed in the house, miracles happen.
During the festival, participants are invited to see an exhibition of the book’s illustrations at the Kavos architektai coffee studio.
