:
Klaipėda University professor, writer Prof. Dr. Liutauras Degėsys. Moderator – cultural journalist Nina Puteikienė.
Liutauras Degėsys, the author of ten books of poetry, five collections of philosophical essays and four novels, takes the reader to the Nowhere-Never-Nearing City of his own making in his latest publication.
Is life a dream? Do those who dream live? Or are we only dreaming, and when we wake up, do we realise that it is all a dream? The novel’s love triangle here is more like a square – a cage in which the novel’s heroes are confined. Loving, suffering, destroying, poisoning themselves and others, but unable to live without each other.
The characters’ feelings and actions are intertwined with prophetic dreams, fantasies, reflections and musings. The characters are allowed to have no brakes, including the car they drive in the mountains.
A book about loneliness in threesomes – even more desperate than in twosomes or alone.
