Conversation “Why Thomas Mann?”

Participants: director of the Institute of the European Right Dr. Teodoras Žukas; writer, translator Antanas Gailius.
Why and how can Thomas Mann intrude into a person’s life and remain there for decades? Why is Th. Mann mentioned in Lithuania more often than many other famous foreign writers? And finally: what could—and should—he say to us, people of the 21st century? These and other questions will be discussed by Teodoras Žukas, Director of the Institute of European Right, and writer and translator of Th. Mann’s works, Antanas Gailius.
The event is part of the 8th Nida International Forum “After the End of History”.
