“Old Klaipėda Photography” is the first exhibition of historical photographs of Klaipėda from the perspective of time: from the earliest portrait photography in 1864.
From the 18th century to the images of the city destroyed in 1945.
The photographs on display can be described as a visual narrative of Klaipėda’s history, reflecting important periods in the history of Klaipėda.
We invite you to get acquainted with the photographs, which are stored in the archives of the Klaipėda County Ievos Simonaitytė Public Library AdM and Rautenberg Publishing House.
The exhibition has been prepared by Jurga Bardauskienė and Viktorija Karalienė (Klaipėda County Ievos Simonaitytė Public Library) in cooperation with the AdM Society and Gerhard Rautenbergs of Rautenberg Publishing House.
