Open mic night “Panegyrics”
Dalyviai: Klaipėdos miesto rašytojai, menininkai, profesionalūs slemeriai, stand-up komikai, aktoriai, kūrėjai. Vakaro vedėjas – poetas, prozininkas Marius Povilas Elijas Martynenko.
The event will revive the spirit of the Baroque era and the art of eloquence in contemporary forms, and will feature solemn, glorifying speeches – panegyrics* created especially for this evening, inspired by current events in the world or by the absurdities of daily life. Each participant will interpret the genre of praise in his or her own way: from sublime poems to biting monologues, from theatrical performances to bursts of humour.
* a solemn speech made to honour a person, event or idea. A form of rhetoric of high skill in Baroque times, today it is a creative challenge that allows you to praise with a smile or irony.
