Oliver Fischer’s presentation “Love cannot be experienced more strongly – Thomas Mann and Paul Ehrenberg”

Participants: freelance journalist Oliver Fischer, one of the vice-presidents of the Thomas Mann Society; German historian Prof. Dr. Ruth Leiserowitz, Senior Research Fellow at the Institute of Baltic Region History and Archaeology, University of Klaipėda.
In 1943, Thomas Mann wrote: “One could not experience love more intensely”, referring to his relationship with Paul Ehrenberg. At this event, journalist Oliver Fischer will present his book “Man kann die Liebe nicht stärker erleben – Thomas Mann und Paul Ehrenberg”. He will talk about their touching friendship, from the vibrant Munich art scene in the 1900s to the painful separation caused by exile.
The event will be held in German with translation into Lithuanian.
