Klaipėda’s cultural community is invited to a cozy gathering with festival guest Nora Gomringer. Over coffee, we will share our insights on the place of literature in society, cultural differences and what unites us all despite borders: a lively word, curiosity, and sincere conversations.
Nora Gomringer is a unique voice in contemporary German and Swiss poetry. One of the most prominent writers of her generation, and winner of many important awards, she impresses with her masterful combination of play and intellectual depth. She writes as she speaks – vividly, freely, with humour, and her poems often become performative performances in which the word takes on flesh. For her, poetry is not only an art of text, but also of voice, tempo and rhythm.
