Yuri Andrukhovych (Ukraine)

Poet, writer, essayist, translator, whose name came to fame in the 1990s when he helped found the poetry group Bu-Ba-Bu (short for “burlesque-balagan-boufonada”) in 1985.
One of the most prominent contemporary writers, intellectuals and cultural figures in Ukraine. His shocking and thoughtful work has been translated into all the world’s major languages, won numerous prizes, and his novels Twelve Circles and Moskoviada have been translated into Lithuanian.
