Ūla Ambrasaitė

She studied Lithuanian Philology and German (BA), Literary Anthropology and Culture (MA) and PhD in Humanities at Vilnius University. Currently, Ūla is based in Frankfurt am Main, where she is studying for an MBA at the Frankfurt School of Finance and Management and is looking for new models of niche publishing. During her studies, Ula was most interested in publishing as a way to publicise research content. For two years she worked as a project manager for fiction and academic literature at the publishing house Baltos lankos. In 2013, she founded the publishing house “LAPAS”. Ūla’s vision for publishing is to find commonality in seemingly unrelated topics, to bring together authors from different fields and catalyse new content, to give intellectual and academic books the widest possible dissemination, and, of course, to make the book a desirable object on the shelf of an aesthetically-pleasing home. He curates exhibitions of architecture and experimental art (at the National Art Gallery, the Centre for Contemporary Art and other galleries). Ūla is a member of the public art festival EDIT Vilnius Street Art, which took place annually from 2013-2017. Founder, co-curator and director of EDIT Vilnius, which took place in Vilnius and Klaipėda between 2017-2017.
