Antanas Gailius

Writer and translator, laureate of the National Prize for Culture and Art, distinguished by his deep literary taste and mastery of language. His work has been published in literary almanacs, anthologies and selected publications. He has translated important works by Thomas Mann, Stefan Zweig and Rainer Maria Rilke from German. He has been a curator of the Thomas Mann Cultural Centre for a number of years and is currently one of the main organisers of the International Nida Forum.
