Can the most serious upheavals in life and politics be discussed with an ironic smile? What is the secret of black comedy in literature? These questions will be explored by two masters of words: acclaimed Ukrainian writer Andrey Kurkov and comedian Paulius Ambrazevičius. The evening will centre on black comedy, a genre that allows us to view everyday life through absurdity and healthy irony. Kurkov’s writing, often compared with the finest traditions of satire, reveals layers of post-Soviet reality, while Ambrazevičius’s insights will add further dynamism and contemporary relevance.

The event will be held in Ukrainian with interpretation into Lithuanian.
