Conversation with Historian Kristina Petrauskė: “Woman. Existence. Creativity”

Participants: historian and writer Kristina Petrauskė; public intellectual and philosopher Donatas Puslys.
The meeting will unfold as a kaleidoscope of compelling themes: women’s experiences, the search for identity, the influence of social expectations on our choices, and the role of memory and history in shaping identity. An important part of the conversation will focus on Petrauskė’s novel “The Witches of Slonim”, in which she turns to historical events and women’s destinies to explore fear, power, control and freedom. The book will become a starting point for a broader discussion led by philosopher Donatas Puslys on the human right to be oneself and creativity as a form of self-expression and liberation.
